Go Green!

These ads are visually striking and caught my attention immediately because of the white background, contrasting with black gunk coming out of the people's mouths. They are ads for Brita, a water filteration company, who are bringing the facts to peoples attention about drinking water from plastic water bottles, therefore, we should be using filtered water instead. They mention that approximately 16 million gallons of oil is used to make plastic water bottles in one year. If you go to the website www.filterforgood.com, they also state that in America alone, 38 billion water bottles are deposited into landfills instead of being recycled. I already use a Brita but the facts are astounding. Everyone should at least do their part by doing some sort of recycling and filtering.

  1. I think these ads are very provoking visually, although I think they went a little overboard. They look more like horror movie posters than ads for Brita. What happened to the refreshing water ads lol? They do make an impact on you though, and once you get past the imagery the facts are very interesting. I just don't know if people would be able to get over the image of pale people vomiting oil.

  2. I agree with Sonia. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was the movie “A Haunting in Connecticut”, where the séance has liquid coming out of their mouth when they are reaching other dimensions of reality. It looks scary. Yet, the images are very strong and do catch your attention. I drink bottled water all the time…yuck!
